Dubai Harbour
The inception of another world-class destination, the “Dubai Harbour” will soon be the city’s most exciting landmark. The stunning area will set to bring unparalleled waterfront project and the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region’s largest marina.
A joint development by Meraas and Emaar Properties, that is about 20 Million square feet destination featuring 10 Million square feet waterfront residences and a brand-new hotel project. The luxury community is located on King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street between the Jumeirah Beach Residences and the Palm Jumeirah. Additionally, there will be a new bridge linking directly to Sheikh Zayed Road.
Dubai Harbour will be the home to series of elegantly designed high-rise residential apartments, waterfront villas, and hospitality projects offering direct beachfront access overlooking the Arabian Gulf. Both will be operated by The Address Hotels and Resorts, the prominent brand of Emaar Hospitality Group.
The high-end neighbourhood developed by Emaar will be part of the city’s tourist destination and will integrate the current Skydive Dubai, Dubai International Marine Club, and Logo Island as well as the famous Palm Jumeirah and the upcoming Bluewaters Island, home of Ain Dubai, the world’s largest observation wheel.
Although both areas possess exceptional landscape, the location of Dubai Harbour is far different from Dubai Creek Harbour. The upcoming Dubai Harbour is situated in the city’s prime location near the Palm Jumeirah and will be the home to the Dubai Lighthouse, a modern cruise ports and the region’s largest marina. Whereas, Dubai Creek Harbour is stationed by the Dubai Creek near Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary and will be home to the next world’s tallest tower, Dubai Creek Tower.
Dubai Harbour will be one of the vibrant leisure and tourism hubs of the city. The location will highlight world-class facilities including a 1400-berth marina, a voyage dispatch terminal, shopping centre, events arena, lavish buildings, hotels, workplaces, retail hubs, and internationally acclaimed restaurants & cafes. Additionally, the area will feature innovative road network which can be accessed via air and sea. There will also be a futuristic public transport system, water stations, pedestrian bridge, cycling, and jogging tracks.
The destination will create significant long-term value for shareholders, as it will boost the UAE’s yacht industry which will appeal to owners of large yachts in the GCC. Dubai Harbour will expand the city’s yacht capacity by 50% from the current 3000 berths and it will completely place Dubai’s profile on the map as the leading journey transport terminus. Also, the location will be open to welcome luxury ships worldwide and a cutting-edge traveler terminal that suits 6000 travelers and offering a duty-free shopping background.
Dubai Harbour is expected to increase the number of maritime travellers by 100% and expected to boost the oceanic tourism industry of the city. In addition, this world-class destination will house luxury residential & commercial properties and hospitality projects as well as placing itself to be one of Dubai’s leading global tourism and lifestyle hubs. The new Dubai Harbour project will be developed in several phases and is expected to be completed in four years once the construction starts.
