About Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City (MBR).

Mohammed Bin Rashid City (MBR City) is a planned mixed-use development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is located on the southern shore of Dubai Creek, opposite Business Bay. The development is being undertaken by Meydan Group, a Dubai-based property development company.

MBR City is a massive project, with a total area of 10,800 hectares (26,687 acres). It is expected to cost AED 30 billion (US$8.2 billion) to complete. The development is scheduled to be completed in phases over the next 20 years.

MBR City will be a self-contained city, with its own residential, commercial, retail, and entertainment areas. It will also have a number of world-class attractions, including:

  • The world's largest man-made lagoon, with a surface area of 1.6 square kilometers (0.62 square miles)
  • A Universal Studios theme park
  • A shopping mall with over 1 million square meters (10.8 million square feet) of retail space
  • A golf course
  • A marina
  • A number of hotels and resorts

MBR City is expected to be a major economic driver for Dubai. It is expected to create over 100,000 jobs and attract over 100 million visitors annually.
